RN - Emergency Room

This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care within the assigned setting. The nurse collaborates with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes using critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care. Responsibilities include assessing patients accurately, administering prescribed medications, and delivering age-appropriate care. The role also encompasses patient education, including family involvement, and assisting with procedures requiring technical skills.

The nurse addresses psychosocial needs, communicates with social services, and promotes safety by minimizing harm. Emphasis is placed on cost-effective practices and lifelong learning to ensure quality care.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Proficient in computer literacy
• Valid RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire
• Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments
• Administer medications and provide treatments
• Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans
• Collaborate with healthcare team members
• Assist physicians with procedures and technical tasks
• Address psychosocial aspects and coordinate discharge planning
• Ensure patient safety and promote quality care
