To perform a variety of duties in support of services provided by Campus Landscape, including routine cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of grounds.

• Maintains university grounds using edger, blower, trimmer, mower, and other equipment.
• Installs landscaping and related items on university grounds.
• Mow grass, mulch leaves, clean-up grounds and verify designated areas of campus.
• Assists with appropriate pest control (non-herbicide use) for lawn and landscaping.
• Maintains equipment such as hand tools; power equipment, including chain saws, edger, weed eaters, push and/or riding mowers, backhoes, tractor etc. May procure supplies, parts, and tools as needed.
• Responsible for care and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Operate and make minor adjustments to mowers.
• May perform special projects related to various aspects in Campus Landscape as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Ability to read and write plus experience in landscaping.
• Valid driver's license may be required for specific positions.

• Understands instructions for effective contribution to the team.
• Action-oriented; self-starter; and full of energy for work landscape work assignments.
• Ability to exercise functional and technical knowledge with skills to perform the job.

• Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
