SUMMARY
The Regional Security Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to assist the Director of Safety and Security in assessing and managing risk while implementing safety and security programs for Pinelake Church, enabling the church's vision to be accomplished through its mission. This role involves developing and implementing safety and security practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, recruiting and training volunteers, and maintaining safe environments at campuses, camps, and events.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with the overall goals of Pinelake Church.
- Support teamwork and assist other staff members as needed.
- Maintain personal spiritual growth through Bible study, prayer, and reflection.
- Support church ministries by practicing wise stewardship.
- Engage actively in the community and uphold personal emotional and spiritual health.
- Perform duties to glorify Christ and further the church's mission, embodying the 7 H’s of staff culture:
Humility, Honor, Honesty, Hunger, Holy Spirit, Health, and Harmony.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain safety and security of church attendees, staff, equipment, and facilities.
- Conduct safety assessments and implement corrective actions based on industry standards.
- Develop, train, and implement SOPs compliant with applicable laws for various emergency responses.
- Build partnerships with law enforcement and emergency agencies for threat intelligence and response.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Assist ministries with emergency response planning at assigned campuses.
- Recruit and train security and medical response teams.
- Investigate incidents, maintain records, and oversee background checks.
- Coordinate drills and training sessions for staff and volunteers.
- Oversee security equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May supervise staff and volunteers, providing training and coordination.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a current Mississippi Enhanced Carry Permit or meet Law Enforcement Certification requirements.
- Ability to pass Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Firearms Course with at least 90%.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in safety and security roles.
SKILLS
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with PC systems, spreadsheets, and basic social media.

Ability to analyze problems, respond under stress, and meet physical requirements with reasonable accommodations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Moderate noise level, with accommodations available for disabilities.
