Software Engineer Lead - Data Product Organization; Cloudera Hadoop, Neo4j, Spark​/PySpark

As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Data Product Organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh‑PA, Cleveland‑OH, Birmingham‑AL, or Dallas‑TX.

• Develop, maintain, and expand a complex, data‑centric Treasury Management payment network currently hosted on Hadoop and Neo4j.
• Work on complex data requirements independently.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Architects, and other key technical resources.
• Apply knowledge of streaming and Iceberg frameworks.
• Leverage Cloudera Hadoop, HDFS, HQL, Hive, Impala, Beeline, and Neo4j to deliver solutions.
• Lead others through strong communication and technical mentorship.
• Provide technical guidance and support, reviewing code, testing, and documentation.
• Apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.

• Orchestration and scheduling.
• Spark / PySpark.
• Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem (HIVE, HQL, Impala, Beeline, HDFS).
• Graph database / Neo4j.
• Linux operating system.
• Iceberg data lake.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant data engineering or software development experience.
• Proven experience leading data engineering initiatives.
• Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $ (Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education). This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
