Location:

Columbus, MS

Salary: $72,914 - $106,348 annually (including 14% geo modifier); IA Stipend $2,080;
Sign-On Bonus $12,500.

Overview

We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician who supports the EC135 airframe and manages overall maintenance and safety for our fleet at Med-Trans Corporation. This role ensures timely, high‑quality transportation services and patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks, update equipment tracking log, place replacement requests, and document part expenditures.
  • Document service paperwork, FAA information, and comply with company policies and security standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment for the maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members.
  • Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, AMTs, and operations team.
Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • EC135 maintenance experience
  • Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with at least six months helicopter maintenance in the last 24 months
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
  • EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support, and planning experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on‑call rotations
  • Acceptance of FAA drug and alcohol testing program
  • Capability to push/pull 100+ lbs and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
  • Experience under CFR Part 135
  • Autopilot maintenance experience
  • Avionics and electrical repair experience
