Position: Preschool Classroom Assistant

Location: Cen Clear's Preschool located within Port Matilda Elementary

Employment Type: Hourly:
Monday-Friday, 7 hours per day

Pay: $14.21 per hour

• Work with children aged 3 to 5
• Work approximately 35 hours per week during school year, following the school calendar. This includes 30 minutes before and after class time for daily preparation. Summer training sessions are also required.
• Assist the teacher with implementing child activities
• Set up and maintain an organized classroom environment
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students
• Adhere to program regulations and guidelines
• Provide coverage as needed for other duties or positions.
• Additional hours could be provided for duties such as light cleaning, child transportation and break coverage
• Maintain open communication with your supervisor.
• Attend required meetings and on-the-job training.
• Monitor and respond to work email as part of daily responsibilities.
• Practice social responsibility by checking email daily and responding in a timely manner.
• Maintain a professional attitude and confidentiality concerning information about Cen Clear staff, children, parents, consumers/clients, and families.

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Individuals must have or be willing to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with hire. This training is paid for by Cen Clear.
• Working phone in your home
• Documented good physical health.
• Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate
