Engage closely with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent to plan, schedule, and execute daily project operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. The role is hourly and non‑exempt, reporting directly to management.
Essential Functions- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of assigned project plans and specifications.
- Create plans to meet or exceed safety requirements and production objectives.
- Perform short‑ and long‑term scheduling to maximize utilization of crews, equipment, and materials.
- Proactively communicate plans, schedules, and expectations with customers to address their needs.
- Submit required paperwork and reports accurately and on time.
- Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures; administer discipline or recognition as needed.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and feedback to support personal and professional growth of team members.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
- Frequently work beyond 40 hours per week, including night shifts, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor.
- Manage equipment and personnel efficiently; coordinate suppliers and subcontractors; oversee multiple operations and phases.
- Penn DOT Specification 408, Pub 213 traffic control guidelines.
- Construction equipment, tools, and installation methods.
- Construction means and methods.
- Detailed knowledge of plans and specifications.
- Project scheduling.
- Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports, business correspondence, and documents.
- Read and interpret prints, soil analysis, and boring reports.
- Use computers and related office equipment.
- Utilize Heavy Job field, Heavy Job manager, scheduling software, and Windows programs.
- Plan, organize, and direct the work of others.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- High analytical ability, strong organizational and motivational skills.
- Strong leadership and team‑building skills.
- Effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Must complete and maintain all required training.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Preferably five years of construction leadership experience.

- Constant ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Constant exposure to dust, inclement weather, extreme heat and cold.
- Constant ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
