This is a long-term opportunity: the work is expected to run for several years, giving you the chance to lead a major project from start to finish and grow with our team along the way.

The Superintendent should be located within a reasonable daily commuting distance of the project site in Central Pennsylvania, or be willing to relocate.

The Superintendent will:

  • Oversee the timely, quality installation of contracted work for a total project or a particular scope, trade contractor, or portion of a project
  • Build a culture of safety and quality among Moriarty employees and trade contractors, and conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with company, contract, and government regulations
  • Create and manage a plan to sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel
  • Ensure a high quality of work consistent with project and company standards
  • Take initiative and personal responsibility for delivering the project on schedule and on budget
  • Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule, with a command of critical milestones across all stakeholders
  • Manage, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-functioning team
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the owner, design team, and trade partners
  • Maintain working knowledge of the owner contract, subcontracts, and vendor agreements
  • Participate in staff charts, general conditions, project costs, and project KPIs
  • Lead close-out activities including punch list and building operations training
Education:

Work Experience:
  • 5–7 years of experience on construction projects; large-scale commercial experience preferred
  • Experience delivering multifamily, residential, mixed-use, or higher education projects from start to finish
  • 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams of internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction process, including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel
  • OSHA 30-hour certification / eligibility
  • Working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and P6
  • Alignment with Moriarty standards: self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable, accountable, ethical, resilient, and a team and relationship builder
Physical Requirements:
  • Moderate physical activity; driving, climbing stairs and ladders, walking rough terrain, standing for extended periods
  • Onsite, outdoor work in all weather conditions; moderate to very loud noise exposure
