JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Work Link program at Penn State's University Park is seeking student assistants for the Fall and Spring. Work Link is a fully integrated, on-campus, non-residential 2-year certificate program that provides opportunities for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities () to participate in post-secondary experiences and education alongside their peers.
Assistantship responsibilities include: assisting in tutoring students, working on readings and course assignments, job development and job coaching, and helping Work Link faculty with program supports as needed.
Assistants must be available during normal working hours (M-F 8-4) with occasional nights and weekends as needed. Preference will be given to students who have volunteered with the Work Link program in the past as a tutor or mentor. This is a paid assistantship ($15/hr).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Availability during normal working hours (M-F 8-4) with occasional nights and weekends as needed
- Volunteer experience with the Work Link program as a tutor or mentor (preferred)
- Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
