Description of WorkNTM Engineering is hiring an Environmental Scientist/Planner II with 3-5 years of experience to join our team in Wayne and Dillsburg offices. This is a full-time position involving both field and office work.
Key responsibilities include preparing NEPA documents, conducting wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys, and/or Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). Candidates should be able to perform tasks with moderate independence while collaborating closely with senior staff, including Senior Environmental Scientists, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Managers.
This role requires travel to project sites and meetings across Pennsylvania (including overnight stays), as well as conducting field work in all types of weather and terrain conditions.
The applicant must be able to work well in a team and organize and prioritize tasks. Strong work ethic, verbal and written communication, and computer skills are also required for this position.
Minimum Training and Experience Required- Qualified candidates must have a BS in Environmental Science or related degree.
- Must have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the field.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus.
- Experience with PennDOT, PTC, and PADEP, procedures/regulations a plus.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office and Arc Pro/ESRI GIS Products.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
