Job Summary

Responsible for assisting project managers in coordinating the activities of a project to ensure quality and schedules are met and costs are controlled. This includes assisting with the planning, organization, and management of the day-to-day project operations.

Essential Functions
  • Assisting the project manager with the planning, organization, and management of the day-to-day project operations.
  • Preparing CPM schedules on Microsoft Project.
  • Assisting in the negotiating, writing and coordination of subcontracts.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues arising on a project.
  • Performing cost, labor and quantity tracking updates.
  • Ensuring projects are executed in accordance with the corporate safety program.
  • Taking responsibility for technical documents specific to the project. Becoming quickly knowledgeable with all related project specifications, design drawings, etc. Responsible for document control whether paper or electronic.
  • Interfacing at a professional level with the engineers of record for the purpose of clarifying design intent of all documents.
  • Providing technical guidance and direction to foremen in the field as required to ensure productivity and schedule.
  • Assisting in ordering system components, major equipment and materials.
  • Reviewing, approving and processing submittals to and from the engineer.
  • Providing oversight to the RFI process.
  • Providing quality customer service and follow-up to customers as needed.
  • Attending regular meetings with the project team for planning and to assess progress.
  • Conducting short-interval planning meetings with foremen, subcontractors and owners as needed.
  • Demonstrating good leadership and communication to all staff.
  • Assisting with equipment start-up coordination efforts.
  • Assisting with obtaining appropriate project permits.
  • Coordinating punch‑list and close‑out efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned up to the level of seniority and experience.
Qualifications
  • At least one internship within the design or construction related industry.
  • Some knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with various departments of the company as well as clients and subcontractors.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to multi‑task with a high sense of urgency.
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project). Knowledge of AutoCAD and Blue Beam is a plus.
  • Providing personal transportation for meetings and job sites away from the office; mileage reimbursed by McClure.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree is preferred. A degree in construction management is a plus.
  • Experience or interest in estimating is a plus.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Position is full‑time Monday – Friday and is not a remote work position. This is a non‑management position.
