Job SummaryAs a Personal Trainer at Veterans in Healthcare, you will design and deliver personalized fitness programs, conduct health screenings and fitness assessments, provide orientation services to clients, and ensure a positive educational environment while promoting wellness.
Responsibilities- Provide best‑in‑class training experiences that challenge and motivate clients.
- Conduct health screenings, fitness assessments, and orientation services.
- Respond to safety and emergency situations.
- Perform all duties in a professional manner.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or another health‑related field.
- At least one year of experience in the health and fitness field, preferably as a Personal Trainer.
- Nationally accredited personal training certification.
- Completion of the American Heart Association’s Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renewal every two years.
- Excellent physical condition to endure job stresses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with clients of all ages and ability levels.
- Professional appearance and manner.
- Nationally accredited personal training certification required.
- Must complete AHA BLS and renew every two years.
Normal office environment. Frequent contact with patients. May require working various shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
Physical DemandsRequires full range of body motion, handling patients, manual and finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
