Certified Medical Assistant - CMA

This position is for outpatient Certified Medical Assistants responsible for providing top-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting.

• Obtain and document patient information, vital signs, medication review, and screening data using electronic medical records.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist patients with visits, ensuring safety and privacy.
• Perform direct patient care tasks such as EKGs, wound dressings, minor surgical support, and medication administration (excluding intravenous).
• Collect lab specimens, perform phlebotomy, and support laboratory functions.
• Handle clerical duties like scheduling, referrals, co-pay collection, and documentation to ensure efficient clinic operation.
• Support patient education, communicate with providers, and assist with orientation of new staff.
• Maintain infection control protocols, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment functionality.
• Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

• Graduate of a 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required, with certification from recognized bodies such as NHA, AMT, AAMA, among others.
• Strong communication, organizational, and infection control skills.

• Work in a clinical environment; travel may be required.
• Supportive of ongoing patient communication, documentation, and team collaboration.
