Fire Alarm Technical Support Manager - National Accounts

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Technical Support Manager for our national accounts. This person will be responsible for providing dedicated technical support to our large enterprise customers. The Technical Support Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment, integration, and ongoing performance of our products and services. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a customer-centric mindset to manage and support complex technical environments while driving customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned enterprise customers while supporting project installations for Sciens Divisions.
  • Provide high-level technical support, programming and troubleshooting of fire alarm and life safety system installations to Divisions.
  • Understand the customer’s business goals and technical needs, ensuring alignment with our solutions and services
  • Ensure that critical issues are addressed promptly, including managing escalations and coordinating with internal teams to expedite resolutions.
  • Attend project meetings as needed.
  • Identify specific training needs for Division level staff to support fire alarm and life safety product lines.
  • As needed, review and sign off on project estimates during the bid process to ensure they meet the Company’s quality standards, end user and code requirements.
  • Work with the National Accounts Program Manager to standardize estimating; assist sales with estimating complex fire alarm and paging systems.
  • Work independently, or with others as a team, to complete all tasks and related job responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Edwards fire alarm product line.
  • EST3 & EST4 certified.
  • Experienced in managing subcontractors.
  • Minimum NICET Level III in Fire Alarm Systems.
  • OSHA 10 & 30 certified or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Possess strong training skills; must have the ability to train, develop, and evaluate others.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of individuals, including Company leadership, regional staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Strong, positive team builder with effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to understand the technical aspects of the product lines and applications, as necessary, to make informed management decisions.
  • Ability to travel 75% to 80%.
