The Safety Manager serves as CATA’s Chief Safety O5ice, overseeing safety programs for the entire authority, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and promoting safety as a core value that permeates the entire CATA organization. This includes the development, refinement, implementation and enforcement of CATA’s Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTSAP).
Key Responsibilities- Bachelor’s degree in workplace/occupations safety and five (5) years of relevant experience preferred. Education may be substituted for ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in similar safety programs.
- A valid state driver’s license is required.
- This is a safety-sensitive position, subject to 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 655, related to drug and alcohol misuse, with high visibility and responsibility involving the operation of CATA’s vehicles.
The starting salary range is $73,723.83 – $83,500, commensurate with experience.
