Production Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
The 2nd Shift Supervisor will lead a manufacturing functional team to fully utilize resources and meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Innovation expectations. Supervises daily shift activities, collaborates with team members, cultivates a winning manufacturing attitude, and is accountable for training, development, and performance management of team members.
Essential Responsibilities- Lead compliance and environmental, health & safety efforts in support of plant goals.
- Oversee and manage front‑line manufacturing employees, including hiring, employee development, discipline, and time & attendance.
- Monitor and improve productivity while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, cost‑conscious manner and quality standards are upheld.
- Drive LEAN manufacturing implementation and sustain/improve efforts.
- Work with other managers throughout manufacturing to generate continuous improvement ideas and spearhead the implementation of those ideas that lead to bottom‑line results.
- Track and report metrics in the functional area, including labor hour consumption, work order completion, inventory accuracy, throughput, and capacity. Establish team goals that meet or exceed established quality standards.
- Own area training. Develop and create training plans to maximize workforce capability and compliance.
- Collaborate with other PTLs to ensure alignment of functional area across manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years production, supply chain or leadership experience OR High School diploma/GED with 10 years production or supply chain or leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices and handle high levels of ambiguity.
- Strong decision‑making skills.
- Ability to act independently using good judgement and discretion.
- Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office suite and standard ERP systems.
- Medical Device manufacturing experience.
- OMLP/ETLP graduate.
