Job Description Summary
GE Health Care is committed to designing imaging devices that guide Surgeons in making critical, life-changing decisions. With our Active imaging platforms, procedure-based transducer portfolio, and software packages created for the end-user, we provide the solution to visualize anatomy and pathology, guide interventions, and navigate inside the human body. Our mission is to change the standard of care in surgical interventions with our real-time visual guidance devices, giving Surgeons the tools needed to immediately make critical decisions.

With our real-time visualization and guidance platform, BK Medical is our new Surgical Visualization and Guidance, empowering surgeons when it matters most: during the procedure.

This team is responsible for performing limited electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, and support production assembly tasks. These tasks are repetitive in nature and involve building and assembling routine units. Team members determine and follow methods and sequences of operations for assembling cables, soldering, bonding, testing, standard troubleshooting, and manufacturing transducers.

Eligible for $1500 sign on bonus after the successful completion of 6 Months of Employment.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to manufacture components for medical devices.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files with a focus on tight tolerances.

  • Work with materials such as titanium, stainless steel, and medical-grade plastics.

  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMMs).

  • Maintain documentation in compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP standards.

  • Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering teams to ensure product conformity.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to cleanroom protocols when required.

  • Troubleshoot machining issues and suggest process improvements.

  • Experience with CAD/CAM/Mastercam software.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and follow PPE requirements.

  • Fabrication experience is a plus.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent; completion of a machinist apprenticeship or vocational training program.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, CAD files and using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with materials such as steel, aluminum, and plastics.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Stand for 8–10 hours a day while operating machines.

  • Regularly lift and move materials or parts weighing
    25–50 pounds. (Ability to lift 35 pounds alone, anything over 35 pounds requires assistance.)

  • Occasionally lift heavier items with assistance or mechanical aids.

  • Frequent use of hands and arms for tasks like turning knobs, adjusting settings, or using hand tools.

  • Good vision (with or without correction) is needed to read blueprints, inspect parts, and monitor machine operations.

  • Ability to hear warning signals, machine sounds, and communicate in noisy environments.

  • Regularly bend, stoop, or reach to load materials or access machine components.

  • Must wear safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and sometimes hearing protection or respirators.
