RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide professional nursing care based on current Ambulatory Care standards, ASPAN, and AORN guidelines

• Focus on pre-operative and post-operative patient care along with pre-procedure and post-procedure care

• Care for outpatient services including medical and oncology patients, procedure patients, and surgical patients

• Handle blocked patients, emergency/inpatient add-on cases, and Phase II recovery

• Provide care for gastroenterology patients

• Utilize nursing process through patient assessment, care plan development, implementation of interventions, and evaluation of care effectiveness

• Care for patients ranging from neonate through geriatric age populations

• Must have completion of accredited registered nurse program

• EKG course completion preferred

• Required certifications:
Pennsylvania RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all renewed per AHA standards)

• Must demonstrate ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias and life-threatening emergencies

• Utilize critical thinking skills in fast-paced environment

• Function effectively as team member and patient-staff liaison

• Maintain professional communication and demonstrate emotional tolerance when working with patients and families
