Ready to join a veterinary team where you can grow, collaborate, and truly enjoy coming to work each day? Centre Animal Hospital in beautiful State College, PA—affectionately known as “Happy Valley”—is looking for a passionate Associate Veterinarian to help us care for our community’s pets.

We're the longest‑standing privately owned animal hospital with more than 30 years of roots in the area, and in 2024 we took things to the next level with a complete renovation and expansion. Our modern facility now boasts two surgical suites, a dedicated dentistry suite, separate dog and cat wards, ultrasound and x‑ray rooms, a comfort room, and much more. We focus on lifelong wellness and preventive care for dogs and cats, with the occasional pocket pet making things extra fun.

Our services include general and orthopedic surgery, dentistry and oral surgery, ultrasound, reproductive services, laser therapy, integrative medicine, an in‑house lab and pharmacy, and more. We focus on creating a calm, low‑stress experience for pets through Fear Free care. Our experienced veterinary nurses are rock stars who support our doctors so you can practice the highest quality medicine—and our doctors genuinely collaborate, consulting on cases and teaming up in surgery.

Whether your passion is general medicine, surgery, ultrasound, orthopedics, or dentistry, we want to hear from you! We offer a customized mentoring program to match your skills and goals, a competitive salary based on experience, and a great benefits package:

Benefits

We believe in true work‑life balance—so there are no weekends, no on‑call, and no emergency hours. With two local ERs handling after‑hours care, you can enjoy your evenings and weekends however you choose. We’re family‑friendly and flexible with scheduling.
