Location and Salary

State College, PA | $31.84 per hour

The Dendrician Maintenance Specialist position is a labor-intensive position primarily involving the planting, maintaining, care and removal of public trees and other plant materials. The position offers a high degree of exposure to the public. The work is performed under the direction of the Tree Foreman with guidance from the Buildings and Grounds Manager.

• Associate Degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or related field.
• At least one year of work related experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, or related field.
• Combination of professional certifications, education, and/or five (5) or more years of work related experience considered.
• Commercial driver’s license with tanker endorsement, without air brake restriction required within six months of employment.
• Pesticide applicator’s license required within twelve months of date of employment.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
