Overview
The Extension Veterinarian and Research Team seeks to hire part-time research assistants. This part-time position works directly with the veterinarians and researchers in Extension to complete research tasks and gather data.
This position will help with field data collection assisting with applied research practices such as blood sampling and animal temperature assessment, among others. Furthermore, the successful candidate(s) will assist with data uploading and management, as well as laboratory samples analyses. A successful candidate(s) will work with Spanish-speaking farm personnel, will conduct surveys, interviews and questionaries. While a bilingual candidate is preferred, it is not required.
Responsibilities- Support field data collection and applied research activities (e.g., blood sampling and monitoring animal temperature).
- Assist with data uploading, data management, and laboratory sample analyses.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and researchers in Extension on research tasks.
- Engage with Spanish-speaking farm personnel; conduct surveys, interviews, and questionnaires as needed.
- Part-time research assistant position; ability to work with veterinarians and researchers.
- Experience or ability to assist with data collection, data management, and basic laboratory sample handling.
- Willingness to work with diverse populations and in field settings; bilingualism is preferred but not required.

The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
