Software Developer – Additive Manufacturing Workflows
Join Pan Optimization as a Software Developer responsible for the development and quality assurance of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and application programming interfaces (APIs) for commercial additive manufacturing simulation software.
We are developing industry‑leading thermomechanical finite element analysis technology for laser powder bed fusion, directed energy deposition, and welding processes. The position is full‑time and requires working in a fast‑growing business environment, often taking on multiple roles.
Responsibilities- Develop API and GUI functionality for PanX FEA Software for stand‑alone use and integration into commercial build‑prep processors.
- Work directly with users to understand requirements and gather feedback related to software usability and workflows.
- Perform pre‑release GUI/API testing/QA to ensure interface quality.
- ITAR compliance: U.S. persons only (citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylum seeker, or other U.S. Person under 8 U.S.C. §1160(a) or §1255(a)(1)).
- Authorized to work in the United States full time; this company does not sponsor work visas.
- Infrequent day and overnight travel, and occasional international travel may be required.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Experience with additive manufacturing.
- Programming experience in Python, VTK, Qt, C, or C++.
