Security Clearance Requirements- Active and transferable Top Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
- Security clearance must be able to be upgraded to TS/SCI.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- TS/SCI – Current
- Typical degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Two (2) years of experience in object-oriented software design and development using Java in a Linux or UNIX environment.
- Experience developing software in an Agile/Dev Ops environment.
- Experience working in a Dev Ops environment using Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, Jira, Git, Bit Bucket and Confluence.
- Experience working with Sonar Qube or code analysis tools.
- Experience with CI/CD.
- Experience working with SQL.
- Experience working in an Agile Development environment.
- Security+ certification.
- Experience with satellite communication systems and protocols is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices, especially in a defense or aerospace setting.
- Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for our Satellite Ground Systems.
- Collaborate closely with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers to deliver reliable and high-performance software solutions.
- Interact with the agile development team regarding technical considerations, risks, and issue closure associated within development of the system capabilities.
- Assist the Agile development teams on best practices for software development in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) environment.
- Design, implement, and test Java and Python based applications and software components for satellite ground systems.
- Work in parallel with legacy platform teams to migrate workloads onto your pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
- Work with previously written code and make modifications as necessary.
- Ensure software performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, and system integration activities.
- Migrate applications to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Work firewall change requests.
- Contribute to the completion of program and project milestones under the guidance of the immediate supervisor.
- Follow established Software/Systems processes and procedures, development, documentation and maintenance/management of operations concepts, requirements (system, element, segment level), external and internal interfaces, and other software engineering work products/artifacts.
- Learn the workings of satellite ground systems.
- Work with new tools that keep you state‑of‑the‑art.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD – 130,000 USD. (The range is a good‑faith estimate for all experience levels.)
