As a Security Officer - Government Unarmed Patrols in Staten Island, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a sense of security, and provide outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior within the area.
• Document and report any incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Assist with crowd management and help to maintain order during peak times or special events at the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
