Overview
Path Group is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist to join a hospital-based practice in Statesboro, Georgia. This full-time role offers an opportunity to independently lead a pathology service with support from Path Group's network. The ideal candidate will handle a broad mix of general surgical pathology and cytopathology, including frozen section evaluation. Fellowship training or strong experience in surgical pathology is encouraged.
Key Responsibilities- General surgical pathology and cytopathology sign-out
- Frozen section and intraoperative consultation
- Clinical pathology oversight
- Engagement with tumor boards and interdisciplinary clinical teams
- Quality assurance and laboratory improvement initiatives
- Solo-provider site with independent practice autonomy
- No autopsy requirement
- Support from Path Group’s subspecialty and operational teams
- Leadership opportunity at the site level
- Community-based CAP-accredited laboratory serving a regional medical center
