The Department of History is now accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions to support the undergraduate program in teaching surveys of United States and World History for the academic year. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in the Core IMPACTS areas (World History I and/or II and US History: A Comprehensive Survey).
- Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).
- Masters degree in History or a closely related degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in History;
- Classroom instruction experience in higher education
- Earned Ph.D. in History
- Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses
A complete application consists of a letter addressing the qualifications cited above; a curriculum vitae; and the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses of at least three professional references. Other documentation including transcripts may be requested.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesConsistently exhibit engaging customer service. Ability to support various constituencies served by the University. Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for the specific position.
