Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Lead Toddler and Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where toddlers and preschoolers can thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement age‑appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of toddlers and preschoolers.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to explore and learn.
- Monitor and assess the developmental progress of each child, maintaining detailed records and communicating regularly with parents and caregivers.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of all children in your care, adhering to all licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and guide assistant teachers and support staff, providing leadership and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with preschoolers and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to lift and carry children and engage in physical activities as needed.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
