Job SummaryThe Department of Clinical Sciences is accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty to provide clinical instruction for the academic year. Positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis.
ResponsibilitiesBased on qualifications, the part-time clinical instructor will contribute to the clinical education team within the university clinic, the Rite Care Center for Communication Disorders. Responsibilities may include:
- Provide individual and group supervision in intervention and assessment
- Meet weekly with graduate clinicians for didactic and client-specific supervision
- Monitor and provide feedback for clinical sessions
- Review recordings of service delivery sessions and oversee clinical reports and documentation
- Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards
- Collaborate with the established faculty team
- Supervision experience and familiarity with evidence-based pediatric, adult, and family approaches are essential
- The appointment is for one semester/minim ester
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives
- Commitment to best-practice in instruction, mentoring, and curriculum design
- Current ASHA certification
- Licensed or license-eligible to practice in Georgia
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Completion of Continuing Education courses for clinical supervision
- Ability to work with diverse cultural and linguistic populations
- Proficiency with computers and web-based technology
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) as a healthcare provider
- Prior teaching experience
- Prior supervision experience
- Experience teaching in baccalaureate and graduate CSD programs
- Evidence of effective teaching and clinical supervision
- Experience supporting and teaching a variety of students
- Record of continuing education in supervision and/or clinical administration
- Clinical expertise in specified areas (as applicable)
Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid monthly.
