Overview and Responsibilities

As a Patient Service Technician – Local Delivery Driver
, you will be the face of Rotech in your community, delivering and setting up respiratory and durable medical equipment for patients at home while providing hands‑on support and education.

What You’ll Do – Essential Job Functions
  • Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients’ homes.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety.
  • Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time.
  • Keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service.
  • Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on‑call rotations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment (minimum 65 lbs).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience with medical equipment or home healthcare (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).

Qualifications
  • Background investigation (company‑wide).
  • Drug screen when applicable.
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record when applicable.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Experience with medical equipment.
  • One year of related work experience.
  • Medical terminology knowledge.

Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities
  • Email transmission and communication.

  • Microsoft applications:

  • Office equipment: fax machine, copier, printer, phone, computer, tablet.
  • Mechanically inclined for repair and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Demonstrate loading, unloading, and proper tie‑down procedures as per company policy.
  • Understand use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies.
Physical Demands
  • Lift and carry office equipment at times.
  • Require sitting, walking, standing, talking, and listening.
  • Require close vision for small print on computer or tablet and paperwork.
  • Require lifting (minimum 65 lbs) and transporting patient equipment.
  • Require contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens.
  • Require driving a company vehicle for most of the workday.
  • Required to comply with Rotech Respiratory Protection & N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy, including:
    • Medical Evaluation and Fit Testing Compliance in a timely manner.
    • Annual Recertification.
    • Keep face clean‑shaven to ensure N95 Mask face‑seal protection per OSHA guidelines.
