POSITION TITLE: MP&L Material Planner / Specialist
- Department: MP&L (Materials Planning and Logistics)
- Reports To: MP&L Manager or Assistant Manager
- Location: Statesboro, GA – 100% On-site
- Terms: Direct Hire / Full Time – Salaried
POSITION SUMMARY: The MP&L Material Planner/Specialist is responsible for meeting corporate material needs through analyzing, planning, and executing material procurement activities. This position manages and coordinates material planning and logistics activities from external suppliers. Material procurement activities include but are not limited to maintaining appropriate inventory levels of all parts required to seamlessly schedule production, releasing shipping orders to suppliers, posting all receipts and shipments, and analyzing production and cycle reports.
Roles And Responsibilities- Review material usage with engineering bill of materials and forecasts per customers' plan.
- Release material shipping orders.
- Build a list to expedite, and order premium freight (Air freight, Team trucking) for urgent parts in advance.
- Analyze root causes of all material expedite issues and related costs.
- Review and evaluate materials requirements, cycle counting, and inventory forecast.
- Review daily material receipts—evaluate discrepancies in releases.
- Responsible for consignment parts inventory, logistics, and the sales orders.
- Responsible for logistics status of importing container from overseas countries.
- Responsible for outside warehouse inventory and delivery.
- Build and oversee the delivery schedule of incoming containers.
- Design and manage forecasts for material usage vs. need to increase inventory efficiency and promote cost reduction.
- Support and participate in EHS objectives.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a field related to production and inventory control, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0-3 years of experience in Materials preferred.
- Strong grasp of Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and perform in a deadline-driven environment.
- For certain position functions, Korean bilingual is preferred for communication with Korean suppliers and corporate office staff in Korea.

- Plant work environment with temperature fluctuations (hotter in the summer, cooler in the winter). Exposure to certain noise levels and bright lights.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Minimal travel may be required by car and/or plane.
