Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (Travel)

Statesboro, GA | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Midshift: 12:30 PM – 1:00 AM

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and clinical judgment in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of emergency patient care
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices and delegate patient care priorities commensurate with staff education and experience
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and professional development
• Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel delivering patient care

• Active RN license valid in the state of Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• At least 2 prior travel assignments successfully completed
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• ESI Level 5 triage training required

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

• Work in a 29-bed Emergency Department (plus 8 hallway beds) with a 1:4 patient ratio and no call or floating requirements
• Scheduling efforts are made to block shifts as closely as possible while meeting unit requirements
