Walker Boutique is seeking an experienced, service-minded Floor Manager to lead daily sales-floor operations, develop our sales team, support merchandising execution, and oversee our wedding and baby registry experience.

This is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership position. The Floor Manager spends approximately 70–80% of the workday on the sales floor, ensuring that exceptional customer service remains the team’s primary focus. The ideal candidate combines confident leadership with a strong eye for merchandising, genuine enthusiasm for serving customers, and the ability to coach employees toward consistent performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and maintain sales‑associate schedules within established payroll budgets.
  • Coordinate time‑off requests, time adjustments, and payroll‑report approvals.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and, when necessary, separating sales associates.
  • Lead employee onboarding, training, ongoing coaching, and performance accountability.
  • Build constructive, mentor‑style relationships that encourage employee growth, engagement, and dependability.
  • Communicate expectations clearly and follow through consistently.
Sales Floor and Customer Experience
  • Maintain a consistent leadership presence on the sales floor.
  • Oversee daily floor and sales operations at the Market District location.
  • Ensure customers receive prompt, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming service.
  • Model confident customer engagement, product recommendations, and problem resolution.
  • Develop and maintain extensive product knowledge across apparel, children’s, gifts, jewelry, accessories, and home accents.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to customer concerns and changing floor priorities.
  • Oversee the execution of merchandising direction established by the Brand Coordinator.
  • Provide daily and weekly guidance to associates as merchandising plans are implemented.
  • Maintain attractive, organized, shoppable, and brand‑consistent displays.
  • Identify presentation or product‑flow issues and take appropriate action.
Wedding and Baby Registry
  • Lead registry procedures, inventory, communication, and customer service.
  • Build, maintain, and update registries, ensuring accurate product availability and pricing.
  • Track registry purchases and coordinate replenishment of registry‑favored products with the Buyer.
  • Communicate professionally with registrants, families, and gift‑givers regarding options, status, and special requests.
  • Coordinate registry‑related showers, drop‑offs, gift wrapping, and in‑store pickups.
  • Maintain the bridal room as a welcoming and well‑merchandised space.
  • Ensure registry merchandise is appropriately displayed and identified on the sales floor.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior retail experience required; boutique, specialty retail, or multi‑category retail experience preferred.
  • Previous team‑leadership, supervisory, training, or coaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong, intuitive eye for merchandising and floor presentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead employees while maintaining a positive, accountable work environment.
  • Excellent customer‑service, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfort with employee scheduling and basic payroll administration.
  • Ability to learn and use Shopify POS, Gift Reggie, scheduling software, email, and other business systems.
  • Ability to develop extensive product knowledge across multiple merchandise categories.
  • Strong organization, judgment, follow‑through, and attention to detail.
  • Teachable, collaborative attitude and a genuine interest in developing others.
SCHEDULE
  • Full‑time, in‑person position.
  • Regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with a one‑hour lunch.
  • One to two Saturdays per month are required, with the following Monday off.
