Perform routine and semi‑skilled work while assisting skilled workers in the performance of maintenance and repairs. Conduct routine and preventive maintenance and repairs for designated buildings, facilities, and equipment, ensuring technical operations are in proper running order.
Responsibilities- Perform a wide variety of miscellaneous mechanical, air conditioning and heating, and building trades tasks; conduct maintenance of buildings and equipment and simple construction and fabrication tasks; inspect buildings and make repairs as necessary.
- Report major maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain or report supplies and equipment necessary to carry out assignments.
- Respond to emergency calls in assigned areas to repair or determine other actions necessary to resume normal operations.
- Replace pumps, filters, bearings, and motors.
- Troubleshoot air conditioning problems.
- Tighten or change belts.
- Submit a daily report of materials used and time spent on projects.
- Follow all safety and other risk management policies in the performance of work.
- Maintain, repair, and clean tools, equipment, and work areas.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) or more years of related work experience (or one or more years of formal post‑secondary technical education/training).
Preferred Experience
- Advanced training through continuing education or trade certifications.
- Demonstrated experience in machinery repair, electrical, or other mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards.
- CPR/AED Instructor Certified.
$16.15 - $19.77 per hour; non‑exempt, paid on a biweekly basis.

- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, specifications, and standards and technical literature.
