Support Professional

Full-time Schedule

• Flexible schedule, typically Monday–Friday 9 AM–5 PM; some evenings and weekends may be required.

• Travel throughout the Durham area, including Mt. Airy and Statesville, to meet consumers.

• $19.00–$23.00 per hour (based on education/experience)

• Develop and implement Person-Centered Employment Plans for individuals.
• Collaborate with other ESPs, Employment Peer Mentors, behavioral health providers, families, natural supports, housing, transportation, and other community service providers.
• Assist individuals in mastering job skills and meeting production standards by clarifying roles, expectations, and steps for efficiency.
• Coordinate services with NCDVR staff.

• High School diploma or GED required;
  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting adults with mental health and/or substance use issues preferred.
• Knowledge of the labor market, community services agencies, task analysis, systemic job training, counseling, advocacy, and supported employment preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted North Carolina driver’s license; good driving record; current, unrestricted vehicle insurance.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory to support community‑based programs.
