Operations Manager

Description

Lead a team of 40+ production employees at the Statesville plant to deliver high-quality products safely, on schedule, and at competitive costs. This is a 24/5 operation with occasional Saturday production. Collaborate with safety, quality, materials, maintenance, and HR teams to optimize processes. Drive execution of established metrics through effective leadership and operational discipline.

• Build strong relationships and align team to plant vision.
• Set goals, manage performance, and develop talent.
• Foster a culture of trust, integrity, and accountability.
• Conduct weekly one‑on‑ones and mentor supervisors to become effective leaders.

• Ensure safe work environment and compliance with environmental standards.
• Maintain product quality per ASTM and industry standards.
• Oversee production processes and resolve issues promptly.
• Implement daily management routines (MDI) and cross‑functional meetings.
• Drive plant strategy, budget planning, and productivity improvements.
• Manage staffing, turnover, and resource planning in coordination with HR.
• Own KPIs for safety, quality, schedule adherence, overtime, and consumables budget.
• Report performance to senior leadership.

• Minimum 6 years in production or manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience managing large teams (75+ preferred).
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, safety regulations, and lean principles (Kaizen, Six Sigma).
• Skilled in performance evaluation, budgeting, and reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office; excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferred.
