Senior GL Accountant – Manufacturing Operations (Multi‑Site Support)
Cadence, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior GL Accountant to maintain the financial backbone of our Virginia headquarters and support two additional manufacturing sites. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented accounting professional with strong month‑end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting skills. WhatYou’ll Do
- Manage the General Ledger:
Record, reconcile, and maintain accurate financial records across multiple sites. - Lead Month‑End Close:
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financial statements. - Optimize Cost Structures:
Partner with supervisor to seamlessly integrate annual labor and burden rates. - Ensure Compliance:
Uphold GAAP standards, maintain internal controls, and support audit readiness. - Analyze Variances:
Review accounts and transactions to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. - Support Multiple Sites:
Partner with finance and operations teams at other locations to ensure accurate reporting and understanding of financial performance. - Leverage ERP Systems:
Use Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems to streamline reporting and financial processes. - Year‑End & Audit Support:
Assist with year‑end close, audit preparation, and regulatory reporting as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 7–10 years’ experience in general ledger accounting, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with internal controls and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to problem‑solve.
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with multiple sites.
