Daikin Applied is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineering Manager . The Sr. Electrical Engineering Manager will supervise and coordinate activities of the Electrical Engineering Department to design, manufacture, and test components, products, and systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Your Responsibilities:

Direct department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures

Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts

Analyze technology trends and market demand for planning projects

Manage the timely revision of drawings and bills of material, as required

Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products

Forecast operating costs of the department and direct the preparation of budget requests

Advise management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations

Provides direction and example for the interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities

Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies that may improve operations, and develop recommendations accordingly

Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering8+ years of related experience5+ years of people supervisor or management experience UL Electrical Standards and Regulations Electrical Modeling and Simulation experience

Skilled in Engineering Processes such as DFMEA, DVP&R etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

HVAC industry experience

Experience with motor and VFD design

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $126,100-$221,900 + 25% bonus in Virginia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
