Purpose and Scope of Job:

Engineering organization,including

Application Engineering,Design Engineering,Backoffice Engineering,Project Management,and Technical

Documentation functions.

This position ensuresallengineeringteamsoperateinalignmentwithbusinessobjectives,providingseamlesssupporttosales,operations, manufacturing,quality,and customers.

The Gearbox Engineering Managerdrivescollaborationacrossfunctionalgroups ,establishes performance metrics,monitorsdepartmentaleffectiveness,andleadscontinuousimprovementinitiativestosupportgrowth,operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Responsibilities combine leadership of engineering execution, resource planning, process improvement, project oversight, and strategic business support

• Establishdepartmentalgoals,priorities,andperformanceexpectationsalignedwithbusiness objectives.
• Monitor,analyze,andcommunicatekeydepartmentalperformanceindicators,including workload,project execution, responsiveness, quality, resource utilization, and team performance.
• Ensureeffectivecoordinationand alignmentacrossengineeringfunctionstosupportcustomerorders,projects,and business initiatives.
• Partnercloselywith Operations,Manufacturing,Quality,Supply Chain,Product Management,and Salesleadershiptosupport organizational objectives and operational excellence.
• Overseedepartmentalcapacityplanning,resource allocation,andworkloadprioritizationtoachievebusiness commitments.
• Drivecontinuousimprovementinitiativesfocusedonengineeringprocesses,efficiency,quality,productivity,and customer satisfaction.
• Ensurecompliancewithcompanypolicies,engineering standards,configurationcontrolrequirements,ISO procedures,and documentation practices.
• Provideregularreportingandbusinessreviewsondepartmentalperformance,project status,resource utilization,strategic objectives, and key business metrics.
• Managedepartmentalbudgets,staffing plans,succession planning,talent development,employee engagement,and performance management activities.
• Serveastheprimaryescalationpointfortechnical,operational,resource,andprojectexecutionissuesimpactingcustomersor business performance.
• Champion cross-functionalcommunicationandcollaborationtoensureengineeringteamsoperateasaunifiedorganization supporting company goals.
• Collaboratewiththe Director of Engineeringandotherbusinessleaderstoidentifyopportunitiesfororganizationalgrowth ,process optimization, and strategic improvements.
• Supportstrategicplanninginitiativesandorganizationalobjectiveswhileperformingotherdutiesas assignedinsupportof company goals.
