We are hiring an experienced CNC Machine Setup Operator to support a precision manufacturing facility operating in the Central Virginia region. This role focuses on Swiss-type CNC lathe setups
, tooling adjustments, quality checks, and maintaining accuracy on tight-tolerance components.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys hands-on machine setup work, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working on a steady 4-day schedule.
What You’ll Handle- Setting up and operating Swiss-type CNC lathes
- Tooling changes, offsets, and machine adjustments
- Quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and indicators
- Reading machining prints and following specifications
- Maintaining consistency and reliability across production runs
- Experience with Swiss CNC machines (Star, Citizen etc preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude + ability to hold tight tolerances
- Ability to interpret prints and basic GD&T
- Reliable for onsite work in the Central Virginia area
