Position: Bon Secours Urgent Care: Full-Time and Part Time Family Nurse Practitioners

Bon Secours Mercy Health has expanded its footprint and is seeking dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Clinicians (Family Nurse Practitioners) to join our new Urgent Care clinic in Staunton, Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We are proud to offer up to a$20,000 sign-on bonus and up to$5,000 in relocation assistance
.

As part of our urgent care team, you will manage a wide range of non-emergent illnesses and injuries while working alongside a supportive staff that includes medical assistants and front-office team members. Our urgent care clinics are open 7 days per week, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., providing consistent scheduling and the opportunity to build strong connections with both patients and colleagues.

Care Scope of Services
  • Walk-in access to high-quality, non-emergency care
  • Occupational medicine services, including workers’ compensation, return-to-work evaluations, and pre-employment physicals
  • On-site diagnostic services, including laboratory testing, X-rays, and EKGs
  • Seamless coordination with primary care and specialty providers as needed

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive care for walk-in patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of urgent care needs
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, I&D, and wound care as appropriate
  • Collaborate with medical assistants and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent service
  • Provide patient education and ensure clear communication around care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic EMR)
Qualifications
  • Current and unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Virginia.
  • Active DEA license
  • A minimum two years of active FNP/PA experience
  • Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting
Work Hours
  • Full-Time:
    Three8a-8p shifts per week with rotating weekends.
  • Part-Time:
    Two8a-8p shifts per week with rotating weekends.
  • Clinic is closed on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
