Cardinal Home Center seeking a motivated full-time Outside Sales Representative to join our building supply team. This position is responsible for developing relationships with contractors, builders, remodelers, and construction professionals while providing the building materials, product knowledge, and service needed to successfully complete their projects.

The ideal candidate has construction or building materials experience, enjoys working with customers, and is comfortable visiting job sites and reviewing plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and subcontractors.
• Sell building materials and supplies based on customer and project needs.
• Visit active job sites to meet customers, evaluate project needs, and provide sales support.
• Review blueprints, architectural drawings, and construction plans to determine material requirements.
• Assist with material takeoffs, estimates, product selection, and quotes.
• Develop new customer accounts and identify opportunities for additional sales.
• Follow up on quotes, orders, and customer inquiries to close sales.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience in outside sales, construction, building materials, or a related field is required.
• Knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction and building materials.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans is preferred.
• Strong communication, sales, and customer-service skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a daily schedule independently.
