Job DutiesWestern State Hospital is seeking a full‑time Trades Tech IV Supervisor to provide oversight to journeyman level staff, ensuring compliance and electrical support & services including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance on the buildings and grounds at Western State Hospital (WSH) and the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents (CCCA). The Supervisor will also be responsible for performance management—establishing clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring timely evaluations—and for preventive and corrective maintenance per TMS.
The role includes snow removal, emergency services, and on‑call coverage.

- Valid Virginia Driver’s License
- Experience as a Journeyman, Military Equivalence-Interior Electrician MOS 12R, or Master electrician (Master Tradesman eligibility)
- Master level certification/license
- Proof of work experience and education
- Experience with building electrical systems
- Experience with building automation systems
- Experience with building fire alarm systems
- Experience working with other trades
- Experience with generators and automatic transfer switches
- Bilingual
