Van Drivers Wanted – Chesterfield – Immediate start

We are recruiting a Van Driver on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer that supplies the construction sector nationwide, offering consistent work, excellent rates of pay, and immediate starts for professional Van Drivers.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for transporting products to builders’ merchants, construction sites, and commercial customers across the country. Deliveries are well-planned and organised, providing drivers with a structured workload and efficient routes throughout the working week.

Drivers typically complete between 4 and 8 deliveries per shift using modern curtain-sided vehicles. Manual handling is kept to a minimum, with duties generally limited to opening and securing vehicle curtains during loading and unloading operations. Drivers will at times be required to off load products using a tail lift and pump truck.

All drivers will be expected to conduct daily vehicle safety inspections, comply with transport and health & safety regulations, complete all relevant paperwork accurately, and deliver a professional level of service at every customer location.

This is an on-going temporaray assignement assignment

Contract Type:
Permanent

Hourly Rate:
Pay for this role is £13.50 per hour with overtime paid after 40 hours each week at time and a half

Working Hours:

Working hours are Monday to Friday with start times typically being between 0500 and 0700 each day

Closing Date:

To be considered for this role, you must have the following;

• – A valid UK Driving Licence
• – Previous commercial driving experience
• – Excellent customer service skills
• – No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
