• Gathers the necessary materials, uses appropriate hand tools, and operates machinery and equipment in various plants to support the assembly floor and finished products while achieving production goals, quotas, and objectives.
• Assists in assembly operations as directed by management to meet company goals.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to appropriate personnel, including Group Leaders, Group Managers, or quality control staff.
• Labels finished products to match paperwork.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and equipment, following safety regulations per plant policies and OSHA guidelines, including the use of safety gear such as glasses, ear plugs, masks, and close-toed shoes.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs repetitive assembly functions using hand or power tools and machinery to assist in the assembly of JELD-WEN products.
• Retrieves raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products for assembly, checking quality and ensuring correct type, amount, and dimensions.
• Places materials and parts in specified relationships to each other.
