Lead Financial Controller in Niagara Region

Prose HR is looking for a Financial Controller to lead finance for two established companies in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls. This full-time, permanent, in-person role requires overseeing accounting operations and providing insights that drive decision-making. With your financial expertise, you will shape the future of a locally rooted organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including payroll and A/R

• Manage intercompany transactions and consolidated reporting

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements as per ASPE

• Develop budgets and cash flow projections accurately

• Implement strong internal controls to safeguard assets

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail

• In-depth knowledge of ASPE and inventory accounting

• Experience with accounting software like Quick Books or SAP

• Valid driver's licence for travel between locations
