Position: Teaching Assistant PSYC 3F40 Fall/Winter D1-1
Location: St. Catharines

Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator – PSYC 3F40
Post End Date  July 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM
Duties and Responsibilities   Mark essays and/or assignments.
Avail at the end of term to mark papers within a constrained turn‑around time.
Serve as a course coordinator and lab demonstrator for the full‑credit course appointment (total of 300 hours).
Assist in maintaining accurate records and managing data.
Provide constructive feedback to students.
Present material and conduct seminars remotely or in‑person, as required.
Maintain communication with the instructor, fellow teaching assistants, and enrolled students via email, audio‑video conferencing, or in‑person meetings.
Compensation   Undergraduate rate: $23.30 per hour (effective September 1, 2026).
Graduate rate: $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026).
Additional teaching duties will be compensated at the appropriate teaching assistant rate.
Qualifications   Completed PSYC 5F01 with a grade of at least 85.
Clear and thorough understanding of all aspects of the course to explain all topics.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills to mark papers within a constrained turn‑around time.
Proficient in APA writing style and adept at providing constructive feedback.
Able and willing to present material, conduct seminars remotely, and maintain contact with students, instructors, and fellow TAs.
Prepared to identify courses for equivalency and provide required documentation (transcripts, course outlines, grades).
