Psychopathology Compensation Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions – Employee Group CUPE
4207-1.

Compensation
• Employees who do NOT hold a 4‑year honours degree or a 3‑year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate – $23.30 per hour (effective September1,2026).
• Employees who hold a 4‑year honours degree or a 3‑year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate – $36.67 per hour (effective September1,2026).
Duties Oversee seminar/tutorial/lab sections for the course.
Coordinate and meet with TA/Lab Demonstrators/Marker‑Graders.
Maintain up‑to‑date records of marks and mark changes.
Handle student changes in seminars.
Process documentation for medical or family‑related accommodations.
Address problems and issues associated with the course in a timely manner.
Respond to student and TA e‑mail inquiries and answer questions effectively.
Arrange makeup tests.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the instructor.
Qualifications Completed or currently enrolled in one of the following courses within the previous five years: PSYC 5Y51/52/61/62/71/72; PSYC 7Y51/52/53/61/62/63/71/72/73; or PSYC 5F01, ORa minimum of 3rd year completion and current enrollment in a PSYC BA or BSc program with an average of at least 80 and a grade of at least 80 in the relevant course within five years.
Previous successful experience as a TA or Course Coordinator in this course in an academic setting is considered equivalent.
Clear and thorough understanding of all aspects of the course, capable of explaining all topics.
Meticulous, well‑organized, and able to keep accurate records/manage data.
Proficient with spreadsheets, database management, and experience with Sakai.
Willingness and ability to present material/conduct seminars remotely.
Willingness and ability to maintain contact with the instructor, fellow TAs, and enrolled students via e‑mail, audio‑video conferencing, and/or in‑person meetings for seminars and office hours.
Applicant must identify the course for equivalency consideration; provide a transcript or course outline/grade summary for courses taken elsewhere.
