Placement Officer

Position: Brock University Placement Officer Role
Location: St. Catharines

Embark on a rewarding career as a Placement Officer at Brock University, where you will help students secure experiential learning placements. This part-time position focuses on facilitating Ontario College of Teachers certification for Education students.

Reporting to the Placement Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring suitable matches for placements, regularly communicating with students and practicum advisors. This position requires a blend of experience in education administration and a deep understanding of the Ontario public school system as you navigate various placement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Elicit and obtain experiential learning placements

• Match students with appropriate practicum experiences

• Communicate consistently with students and advisors

• Seek placements in diverse educational settings

• Ensure smooth operation of placement processes

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Education

• Experience in education administration

• Knowledge of Ontario College of Teachers guidelines

• Familiarity with the public school system

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
