Step into an impactful role as a 2nd Class Power Engineer - Relief Chief at Oxy Chem in Thorold, Ontario. Lead Power Engineers and ensure safety and efficiency in plant operations.

In this position, you will supervise Power Engineers, coordinate duties, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. Responsibilities include ordering chemicals, assisting with maintenance planning, and revising SOPs. You will also ensure continuous utility supply essential for the plant's operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct Power Engineers and assign tasks efficiently

• Manage chemical orders and maintenance scheduling

• Fill in for the Chief Engineer during absences

• Write and update Standard Operating Procedures for operations

• Ensure all utilities are functioning for plant processes

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer’s License

• Familiarity with the Operating Engineers Act and TSSA regulations

• Diploma in Power Engineering Technology or similar experience

• Related experience in plant operations management

• Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills
