Location: St. Catharines
Become a Naval Design Engineer with Algoma Central Corporation and support cutting-edge maritime projects. Collaborate with technical teams to drive vessel innovation and operational efficiency.
You will be tasked with developing new asset concepts and conducting thorough project feasibility studies.
Your role will also involve evaluating fleet conditions and maintaining compliance with regulations that govern the industry. Familiarity with design tools like Rhino 3D will enhance your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in the conceptual design of new marine assets
• Evaluate project requirements and feasibility
• Conduct purchasing and sales inspections as needed
• Support cargo hold maintenance and surveys
• Produce precise designs of vessels with specialized software
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering disciplines
• 1-2 years’ experience in naval design or engineering
• Knowledge of the Great Lakes Seaway System beneficial
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and design software
• Must hold valid passport and no travel restrictions
